Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said the economy is in ``pretty good shape,'' despite a slowdown in growth. The economy is in better shape than other industrialized countries, and inflation remains low relative to historical levels, Harper said at a press conference today in Ontario. ``Now is not the time to panic,'' Harper said. Harper also said the government can't afford further cuts in the federal sales tax. The governing Conservative Party has lowered the rate by two percentage points to 5 percent.Canada is one of the world's wealthiest nations.
