Some libraries in Canada try to preserve as much publications as possible. Languages and Culture

Canada is English-speaking country, in other words, english is the first language to MOST Canada provinces, all except Quebec. Quebec is a province wich english is the second language and French is the first. Yet, it is one of the most culture-varied countries in the world. It has Chinatown, even Salvadorean restaurants with pupusas! There is no getting bored in Canada. The usual traditions are the Quebec's parade for Christmas with floats, and dances and fireworks...it's beautiful! Toronto and other Ontario countries host the x-mas Santa parade. When they walk all aroung Younge street (the longest street in the world) and you get a visit from Santa himself! He gives out prizes and you can give him your christmas letter for your gifts. Toronto also hosts own Film Festival and operas. There is also an amazing event where special guests come to Canada and it is called
Cavalcade of Lights, it is when fireworks fall over the City Hall in Toronto.

One other amzing natural beauty in Canada is the Northen Lights. Only seen in winter in Yukon and the Northwest territories. (which are provinces located more to the north of Canada.)

The Great Lakes

The great lakes, formed over 10,000 years ago by the ice age are one of the most precious water resources in the world. The lakes within are: lake Huron, lake Superior, lake Ontario (which is about the size of El Salvador),lake Michigan and lake Erie. They provide fresh water and homes to 40 million canadians and Americans and countless amount of animals. Lake Ontario even has its own island! (Toronto island)

Niagara falls....

The Niagara falls one of Canada's famous tourist place has a volume of water of 150,000 U.S gallons per second. 18,000 years ago Ontario was covered by ice sheets
2-3 kilometers thik. Now all the ice melted and created these beautiful fall. The Niagara falls also divide Canda and U.S.A half of it is from the U.S and the other is from Canada. There once was a museum where it had things about Niagara fall history but it was burned down. This museum was founded in 1827 by Thomas Barnett.

National Anthem!

Here is Canada's National Anthem:
Titled 'Oh Canada' and officially became Canada's National anthem July 1st 1980 as part of Canada Day. It was written by Calixa Lavallée.

So here are the lyrics:

English Words

O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada! We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada! we stand on guard for thee

(repeat)

French Words

O Canada, terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux.
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il sait porter la croix.
Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de foi trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits

(repeat)

In Quebec is the only province in Canada which speaks French as it's first language.

Here are two pictures of the hotel:

Ottawa and West Edmond Mall..

Here is a picture of a water park inside West Edmond Mall .

Canda is located in North of the U.S.
It's capital city is Ottawa, where the prime misnister Steven Harper lives and all of the country goverment is there.
West Endmonton mall; the biggest mall in Canada has it's very own indoor amusement park and a ice hockey ice rink as well. It is the size of a small city or Disney Land.
